CrueTV’s Digital Media Programming provides employability skills through applied learning components, where participants develop an understanding of the end-to-end digital production cycle in relation to video, graphic, and web technologies. Upon completion of the program, the participants are competent, work-ready apprentices, who are multi-skilled and can work across different platforms. Participants are also given the opportunity to earn an income by applying their skills to CrueTV’s production services in Video Production, Live Streaming Video Broadcast, Video Postproduction, Web and Social Media Designs.

Social Value: CrueTV provides access to innovative technology and hands-on-training, creating a pipeline to careers in the digital sector for youth 16–29 facing multiple barriers to employment, education, and training. CrueTV ensures that all individuals can engage in digital activities and adapt to rapidly new and changing occupations and skills needs. CrueTV delivers valuable digital production services to businesses, organizations, and individuals as part of its sustainable programming. Together these services have the potential to benefit youth on their journey to economic prosperity by equipping them with skills needed now and in the future.

Clients Include Ingram Micro, Microsoft, Venture Lab, Remap, Tropicana Community Services, Kennedy-Eglinton Toronto Public Library, YMCA and Rosalie Hall.

Our state-of-the-art capabilities include small & wide format digital printing, offset printing, textile printing, sign & banner printing, laminating, and mounting, plus complete bindery and finishing services. Our products include stationery, brochures, postcards, booklets, magazines and catalogues, posters, signs, banners, cut vinyl adhesive lettering, custom t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags and more.

Social Value: 100% of the profit generated from all business at the Phoenix Print Shop goes to directly support and sustain our Fundamentals of Print Training Program for homeless and at-risk youth. Participants are able to gain entry-level employment with long-term career potential in the printing and graphic arts industry and have the opportunity to lead productive, self-sufficient and healthy lives.
